We are currently searching for a Portfolio Accountant to join our team. The Portfolio Accountant supports portfolio administration particularly the accounting and reporting responsibilities and requires accounting and investment foundational knowledge for all types of investments appropriate for insurance companies including bonds, stocks, mortgage loans, real estate and other invested assets. Records investments in various accounting and reporting tools including Pam for Investments, BondEdge, Bloomberg, and other software packages. Maintains and updates the holdings for corporate actions and cash flows intra-period. Prepares monthly and quarterly exhibits for internal customers including the Investment Committee. Aids in completing internal and external audit requests and A.M. Best reporting. Assists the Accounting and Actuarial teams in their preparation of financial statements and cash flow forecasting and modeling. Performs a variety of routine and some non-routine tasks in accordance with developed procedures for all investment-related activity. We are looking for someone to: Supports the investment acquisition process through brokers and electronic platforms. Evaluates portfolio holdings for regulatory and statutory compliance. Prepares data for internal and external customers, through the use of a variety of software packages, including State Street Global Exchange’s Investment Accounting systems (PFI), BondEdge, and Bloomberg. Helps prepare and reconcile internal and external financial records; investigates discrepancies with the financial statement reports Collects and prepares data to assist in the audit process of the investment portfolio. Collects and prepares data for internal cash flow forecasts. We need someone who has:
