Accountant

Financial Recruiter at Alexander Chapman Our client, a prominent private real estate development firm is seeking an Accountant to join their team. This role will focus on core accounting functions related to maintaining accurate financial records and supporting overall financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, document, and post journal entries for general and subsidiary ledgers

Maintain and reconcile automated ledger transactions and bank statements

Collaborate with accounts payable and receivable teams to ensure accurate transaction classification

Perform reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, including intercompany balances

Analyze trial balances, investigate revenue and expense variances, and verify sub-ledger accuracy

Compile monthly financial reports and assist with audits, budgeting, and tax filings

Qualifications

Bachelor's in Accounting with 2+ years' experience (real estate/construction preferred)

Proficient in Sage 300, Timberscan, and financial reporting

Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to manage multiple ledgers under deadlines
