Purpose of Position The Maintenance Controller manages mechanical irregularities and plans all unscheduled maintenance activities. As the primary point of contact for aircraft out of service, the Controller ensures compliance with all regulations and NetJets policies, delivering safe, compliant, and timely maintenance support on a 24/7 basis.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Ensures that all down aircraft are repaired safely, compliantly, and timely per regulations and the NetJets General Maintenance Manual.

Liaises with the System Operations Center (SOC) to keep them advised of aircraft maintenance status.

Coordinates maintenance, tooling, and parts support with maintenance providers and internal departments.

Communicates the grounded aircraft status to all affected departments.

Collaborates with the Director of Maintenance, Flight Operations Duty Manager, MCC Managers/Supervisors, pilots, maintenance vendors, and other stakeholders on aircraft certification matters.

Monitors shipping of requested aircraft parts for grounded aircraft, escalating any part procurement issues through management.

Tracks the airworthiness status of each aircraft in real time and provides this information to the SOC/Dispatch.

Provides real‑time controls on the airworthiness of in‑service aircraft through approved deferral and tracking programs.

Coordinates with pilots via phone and software applications to evaluate and disposition aircraft faults.

Education High School

Certifications and Licenses FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P)

Preferred 5-8 years exercising A&P license.

FAA Airframe & Powerplant certificate.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Ability to work in the corporate office in Columbus, OH.

Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. per the Immigration Act of 1986.

Must pass a 10‑year background check and pre‑employment drug screen per company regulation.

Excellent written and verbal skills.

Ability to remain focused under pressure.
