This newly created leadership role offers the opportunity to shape and elevate the accounting function within a dynamic consulting firm with government contracting and commercial clients. Reporting directly to the VP of Finance, the Controller will serve as a strategic partner, leading daily operations, ensuring compliance, and driving process improvements. Base pay
$175,000.00/yr - $185,000.00/yr Compensation

Tysons Corner, VA — one day in office Key Responsibilities
Lead all daily accounting operations: GL, AP, AR, payroll, billing, and reporting Manage audits (financial review, indirect rate, 401(k)) and tax filings Optimize Costpoint (Deltek) accounting functions Oversee multi-state payroll and ensure compliance with tax laws Maintain 401(k) plan compliance and audit readiness Develop cost pools and manage indirect cost allocations Ensure FAR, CAS, and DCAA compliance Deliver accurate financial statements through monthly/quarterly/annual closings Implement internal controls and drive process improvements Collaborate on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial analysis Qualifications
Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/CMA preferred) 4+ years of Costpoint experience, required 10+ years in government contracting accounting Deep knowledge of indirect rates, FAR/CAS/DCAA compliance Proven audit and tax management experience Strong understanding of multi-state payroll and HR compliance Demonstrated success in improving back-office operations Excellent leadership and communication skills Location: Tysons Corner, VA (HQ) with one day in the office Ready to lead and make an impact?
