Freshfields US is seeking a highly qualified associate to join our U.S. Tax practice in our New York office. Ideal candidates will be class year 2021-2023 and have experience at a leading Am Law firm. Our global tax practice advises on sophisticated matters for prestigious clients, collaborating with corporate, finance, and litigation practices. Our practice spans M&A, private equity and other investment fund work, joint ventures, and capital markets transactions. Successful candidates will
Have prior experience at a leading Am Law firm. Have hands-on experience advising on the tax aspects of corporate transactions, including public and private M&A, fund formation, and financing. We are open to candidates with a primary focus on funds (sponsor and investor side) who wish to continue specializing in the area. Possess strong legal research, drafting, and analytical skills. Thrive in a collaborative environment and be eager to work closely with partners, counsel, and colleagues across practice groups. Be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple workstreams efficiently. Qualifications / Requirements
Admitted to practice in New York. Compensation
Freshfields US LLP associates are compensated based on leading market rates. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $235,000–$310,000, commensurate with experience, with bonuses for associates in good standing. Application Process
