Talent Acquisition Manager at ECI Software Solutions
ECI Software Solutions is seeking a Senior Technical Accountant to join our Global Accounting Team. This role will focus on researching and applying financial processes in accordance with U.S. GAAP, preparing the Company’s financial statements, and contributing to complex technical accounting areas. The position will also play a key role in month-end close activities, special projects, and internal and external reporting.
The position is partially remote, located in Westlake, TX Corporate Office, and reports directly to the Assistant Controller.
Responsibilities
Prepare annual and quarterly financial statements, footnotes, and other compliance certifications. Support M&A accounting activities, including due diligence, purchase accounting, earnout calculations, and post-acquisition integration. Maintain and reconcile debt schedules and analyze debt transactions for modifications or extinguishments in accordance with ASC 470. Maintain complete and accurate workpapers related to the company’s derivative instruments. Research and document complex and non-routine accounting transactions, ensuring proper application of U.S. GAAP through well-supported memos. Analyze and implement new or updated accounting standards, assessing their impact on the organization. Prepare responses to auditor inquiries, including supporting documentation and technical memos. Support the month-end close by preparing journal entries for leases, debt, amortization of intangibles, and other technical items. Perform account reconciliations for key areas including leases, goodwill, and intangible assets, resolving variances in a timely manner. Assist with special projects such as ERP implementations, automation initiatives, and internal process improvements. Lead ESG reporting and compliance efforts, including metric tracking and integration into financial reporting. Conduct financial analyses and provide both ad hoc and recurring internal reports to executive leadership.
Required Skills, Abilities, Education & Experience
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting Active CPA license (or plan to acquire within twelve months) Minimum of three years’ experience with a Big 4 or national public accounting firm Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements Excellent written and verbal communication skills High proficiency in Excel; strong working knowledge of ERP systems Analytical, detail-oriented, and curious—able to dive into details to solve problems Able to work both independently and collaboratively, stay organized, and drive continuous improvement
