Senior Controlling Analyst
to join their team. The ideal candidate will have manufacturing experience, strong SAP experience and cost accounting experience. The
Senior Controlling Analyst
role is an onsite position. This is a client direct hire position. Assist in developing and implementing the Controlling Department’s targets, projects, policies, procedures, methods, and controls. Analyze financial data and collaborate with the Regional Controlling Services (RCS) team to prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports summarizing current and projected financial positions. Manage inter-company reconciliations and validate SAP system data through reconciliation results and internal reviews. Recommend key economic objectives and policies to management. Coordinate business plan preparation by gathering inputs from all functions to ensure financial projections align with strategic action plans. Prepare, with RCS support, analyses and reports summarizing and forecasting business activities and financial positions, including income, expenses, balance sheets, cash flow, and assigned non-financial key performance indicators. Develop, maintain, and continuously improve internal controls to safeguard assets and detect errors or misuse. Prepare and submit reports for local, group, and corporate management. Collaborate with the Logistics Team to analyze and audit physical inventory count results. Calculate standard costs and plan cost estimates for business activities such as raw material purchases, inventory, and labor. Lead cost improvement initiatives, including idea generation and reporting on financial impacts from continuous improvement efforts. Support customer pricing analysis and financial evaluation of customer programs throughout their lifecycle, including QG4. Analyze actual manufacturing costs and partner with RCS to provide detailed variance analysis comparing standard costs to actual production costs. Review Bills of Material (BOM) and routings in the system, providing feedback to Engineering. Support business case development for new investments and provide ad hoc financial analysis for decision-making. Actively participate in weekly cost improvement and operational excellence meetings, contributing to key financial discussions. Provide financial decision support to plant managers and supervisors, advising on the financial impacts of projects and decisions. Senior Controlling Analyst Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field from a four-year college or university. 5 to 10 years of related experience in a plant environment, preferably in Automotive industry. Master’s Degree preferred. Considerable knowledge of the principles and practices of accounting, financial management, auditing and US GAAP or IFRS and internal control systems. Familiarity with German GAAP strongly preferred. Strong analytical and financial analysis abilities.
