We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented

Senior Accountant

to join our dynamic team at DSWD, a reputable CPA firm with offices in Frankfort and Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, tax, and financial reporting, with experience serving a diverse client base. This role involves managing client engagements, supervising junior staff, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information. Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 4 years of professional accounting experience. Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Experience preparing financial statements and managing month-end close processes. Preferred Qualifications

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation. Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks. Previous experience in a senior accounting role within a CPA firm environment. Strong analytical skills with experience in budgeting and forecasting. Excellent communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration. Experience working with Registered Investment Advisory firms a plus. Responsibilities

Manage and oversee daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations. Strong experience with reviews and compilations. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP. Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations. Coordinate and support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations. Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support business planning and decision-making. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation. Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data and provide insights on financial performance. Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff to enhance team capabilities and efficiency.
