Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) seeks a Level 4 Senior Principal Cost Estimating Analyst to join a diverse team of professionals in Florida. Responsibilities
Support proposal activities with high engagement and collaboration across teams. Review and analyze RFPs/Change Orders to determine costing requirements and goals. Develop compliant estimates according to company and Government policies and procedures. Organize and estimate initial ROM or cost targets for medium/large efforts. Prepare cost reports and present findings to management and contract personnel. Estimate labor and/or material costs of manufacturing and engineering based on RFP/CR data. Analyze specifications (sketches, blueprints, BOMs, sample layouts) and calculate production costs using pricing schedules and historical data. Collect cost data from functional representatives, subcontractors, and vendors. Compute cost estimates of raw materials or subcontracted work and labor; maintain historical cost data. Populate models with updated information and create report-ready spreadsheets/graphs. Identify potential problems and understand impacts to other areas. Review Task Description/Basis of Estimate for compliance with program or capture plan. Generate and maintain proposal data files in ProPricer and/or Proposal Integration Folders. Perform regression analysis and CER development. Support customer RFIs, fact-finding, updates, and corrective actions. Participate or support as a member of the contract negotiations team. Support certifications sweeps and processes for certifying proposals. Support customer/government audits periodically. Proactively pursue problem-solving opportunities and implement workaround solutions to improve the proposal process. Support affordability and quality initiatives. Basic Qualifications
Level 4 (Sr. Principal): Bachelor’s Degree with 10 years of combined experience, or Master’s Degree with 8 years of experience in proposals, pricing, cost estimating, or related business functions. Experience with statistical analysis. Experience with MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Experience with CAS, FAR, and DFARS government regulations. Ability to transfer and maintain an adjudicated government Secret clearance (DoD in-scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and program access as required. Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of aerospace production operations, tasks, and processes. Experience with production proposals and estimating. Ability to create automation tools for the Pricing and Estimating team to minimize administrative tasks. Persistence and task-management to meet deadlines in a multi-tasking environment. Problem-solving mindset to improve proposal processes. Knowledge of labor improvement curve theory and modeling. Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate technical analyses. In-depth understanding of manufacturing and support labor and their interactions. Salary and Benefits
Primary Level Salary Range: $98,100.00 - $147,100.00. Northrop Grumman considers factors such as scope, responsibilities, candidate experience, and market conditions when determining base salary offers.
