Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, with direct experience in the oil & gas industry. This role requires accuracy, analytical ability, and a commitment to maintaining financial integrity. The Accountant will be responsible for financial recordkeeping, reporting, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities
Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and revenue distribution across multiple entities. Accurately record entries for operated and non-operated oil & gas properties. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and overall financial management. Utilize accounting software such as PAK Accounting (aka WolfePak) and Excel to complete accounting tasks efficiently. Qualifications & Skills
Experience with PAK Accounting/WolfePak is required. Strong knowledge of oil & gas accounting practices, including revenue distribution, joint interest billing, and monthly account statements. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience with RRC, Texas Comptroller, and ONRR/BLM/BIA reporting is preferred. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot software and processing issues. Working knowledge of oil & gas tax preparation and state/federal filing requirements. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate record keeping. Ability to perform detailed account analysis and support budgeting activities. Bachelor's degree in accounting. Location: Oklahoma City, OK Compensation: $55,000.00-$60,000.00
