Associate Designer Responsibilities

?? Design Development Support: Assist with space planning, elevations, and concept boards

Support in sourcing FF&E (furniture, finishes, fixtures, lighting, art) aligned with the studio’s luxury aesthetic

Prepare presentation materials, selection sheets, and design decks for client meetings

Maintain project binders, sample libraries, and material boards

Contribute design ideas within the studio’s brand framework

Experience with hard finish design & selection (Kitchen and Bath) a plus

Project Execution

Draft in Revit/AutoCAD/SketchUp as needed - 2D & 3D

Willingness to learn visual AI tools as they come to market

Assist with specifications, RFIs, and vendor communication under guidance of senior staff

Prepare install documents: furniture plans, art/accessory schedules, and styling guides

Assist with RFQ’s and budget projection support supporting project manager

Be present at installations to support the lead designer and ensure the details shine

Collaboration & Growth

Work closely with Principal and Project Manager, absorbing firm processes and best practices

Take feedback with professionalism and apply it toward growth

Participate in design presentations as skill demonstrates to support Principal or more independently

Contribute to a positive, mentorship-driven team culture

Qualifications

2–4 years of interior design experience (internships count)

Proficiency in design software (Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Suite, Canva/PowerPoint, Photoshop) required

Strong eye for luxury design aesthetics and attention to detail

Excellent organizational and communication skills (verbal and written a must)

Team-oriented with eagerness to learn and follow a proven design process

Degree in Interior Design, or, Certification Program with field experience

Highly detailed and organized

Location & Schedule Our studio is based in Yardley, PA (13 minutes from Princeton, NJ / 35 miles from Philadelphia). This is a primarily in-person role with one remote workday per week. Full‑time, Monday–Friday with 1 remote day/week.

Compensation

Salary Range: $52,000–$65,000 annually (based on experience)

$52K = early career with strong technical skills, eager to grow

$58K = solid 2–3 years of design experience with project exposure

$65K = 4+ years with strong drafting + presentation skills but still mentorship‑driven
