The MCPHS School of Optometry seeks an adjunct faculty member to deliver high-quality learning experiences and education for students in The Eye and Vision Center. The selected candidate will have responsibilities in clinical precepting in pediatrics at The Eye and Vision Center and/or our affiliated community health centers, supervising optometry student interns. Work with and teach 3rd and 4th year optometry students effective, evidence-based methods of pediatric patient care based on the MCPHS School of Optometry clinical curriculum. Teach 3rd and 4th year students evidence-based methods to treat and manage patients, including those with secondary binocular vision conditions from traumatic brain injuries. Objectively grade optometry students based on their clinical knowledge, skills, and patient management. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor. Requirements

Required: Must have an O.D. degree from an ACOE-accredited school or college of optometry. Must have a Massachusetts optometry license. Must have a Massachusetts controlled substance license. Minimum of five years' pediatrics/binocular vision experience. Residency training in pediatrics/binocular vision is desired. Commitment to professional optometric education and student success. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Experience providing primary care treatment and management. Ability to work independently and effectively, interacting with students, faculty, administration/staff, alumni, and external healthcare professionals. Application Process:
