Job Description - Pool Psychometrist - USFTGP Neurosurgery (250003XT)
Overview
A Psychometrist coordinates testing services, provides administrative oversight to the clinical laboratory assuring adequate supplies are available to provide comprehensive, state-of-the-art patient care, and assists attending neuropsychology faculty with patient care activities as needed for the services of the USFTGP, Dept. of Psychiatry and Neurosciences, Division of Neuropsychology. This position reports directly to a licensed psychologist. This position’s primary focus is on the administration and scoring of neuropsychological, cognitive, academic/achievement, and psychological tests under the supervision of a licensed psychologist. Qualifications
Required: License/Registration - Issued by Florida or Compact State Required Education Bachelor’s degree in psychology or related field Work Experience and Additional Information Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred. Responsibilities
Administers and scores cognitive, psychological, and general aptitude tests to a demographically diverse patient population, across the life span (pediatrics: 3-17, general adult: 18-64, older adult: 65+) Observes and reports detailed test-taking behaviors Prepares the raw scores, t-scores, scaled scores, standard scores, and percentiles of and enters the scores into the Division’s template neuropsychological data table Acts as liaison for providing cognitive testing services to other departments and branch campuses at the north and south sites Participates in Division research projects and submits proposals to Neuropsychological Conferences Maintains testing inventory, completes monthly worksheets and orders testing materials from publishing companies and vendors Follows Division Standard of Operating Procedures Participates in biweekly Division meetings and scoring workshops Proficient use of a computer and applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Locations
