Special Education Teacher
AB Staffing is seeking experienced Special Education Teachers for the 2025/2026 school year.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education or related field from an accredited college or university.
Valid Special Education Teaching Certificate/License in California.
Proficiency in the subject area; experience with case management, paperwork, compliance, and IEPs.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations affecting special education.
At least one year of teaching experience with students with disabilities, including behavioral and cognitive delays (preferred).
Ability to stand or sit for extended periods, see and read printed or digital materials, hear and understand speech, and communicate clearly.
Physical ability to perform tasks such as walking, standing, stooping, and lifting up to 40 pounds.
Job Description:
Contract through the 2025/2026 school year for Special Day Class (SDC) – 37.5 to 40 hours per week, aligned with the district calendar.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and tailored special education programs.
Adapt curriculum based on IEPs and diverse learning styles.
Maintain communication with parents regarding student progress and collaborate on support strategies.
Create a safe, organized, and positive learning environment.
Implement behavior management strategies to promote a productive classroom.
Provide both individualized and group instruction using specialized techniques.
Assess and document student progress, adjusting instruction as necessary.
Collaborate with educators and specialists to support student success.
Participate in professional development and ensure compliance with regulations.
Salary:
$2,062.50 – $2,680.00 per week, DOE.
