Overview
The School of Education is seeking candidates to teach in the credentialing program for the 2025-2026 academic year. The SOE has open positions for qualified individuals to teach credentialing courses, such as Language Arts in the Elementary School, Curriculum and Instruction in the Secondary School, and Psychological Applications in Education, in both face to face and online formats. Qualifications
Master’s degree in education or related field A California Clear Credential Significant K-12 classroom teaching experience with expertise in reading instruction, curriculum, assessments, or teacher mentoring Familiarity with Teaching Performance Expectations Experience with online instruction is desirable General Expectations
Personal relationship with Jesus, a vibrant Christian faith, and a commitment to Christian community; capable of sharing faith and engaging in conversations about Christ Demonstrate Simpson University Values in the performance of all duties Maintain lifestyle in accordance with Simpson University Lifestyle Policy in Staff Handbook Maintain the confidentiality of information, data and records Properly exercise tact, diplomacy, discretion, and professional judgment Demonstrate strong customer service skills in the performance of job duties Demonstrate good organizational and communication skills in the performance of job duties Supervises employees in accordance with Simpson University policies and procedures Support the overflow needs of other departments within the respective university area Perform other duties in accordance with this position as deemed necessary by the Dean Essential Functions
Develop curriculum and teach a credentialing course as assigned Develop course assessments that align to Teaching Performance Expectations Ability to utilize Canvas for course management and delivery of content Draw from professional experience in education Work with a diverse student body population Contribute to the work of the School of Education team as requested by the Dean Physical Requirements
Typical working conditions: indoors in controlled environment Equipment used: computer, scanner, mouse, keyboard Essential physical tasks: sitting for long periods of time using a computer Other: Keyboard/Ten Key; Fine dexterity
