Overview
Position: Asset Protection Specialist Location: Los Angeles, CA Base pay range: $23.00/hr - $23.00/hr Employer: The Home Depot The Asset Protection Specialist is primarily responsible for preventing financial loss caused by theft and fraud and supporting safety and environmental program compliance in their assigned store/multiple stores. They utilize tools to minimize loss to the Company, including identifying incidents of theft and fraud, reviewing CCTV and exception reports, monitoring the store\'s physical security, auditing the Electronic Article Surveillance, and driving a shrink elimination culture in the store. They prepare accurate and detailed case reports documenting apprehensions and recoveries, preserve evidence, interact with law enforcement, and testify in criminal and civil court actions. The Asset Protection Specialist must report hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty and carry out responsibilities in a manner that minimizes the risk of injury to themselves, other associates, vendors, customers, and the Company. They must demonstrate integrity at all times, respond to asset protection and operational concerns of all associates, and remain focused on store specific business objectives while supporting key asset protection and operational responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Identify incidents of theft and fraud and take appropriate action to minimize loss Review CCTV footage and exception reports to detect and prevent shrink Monitor store security systems and drive a shrink-elimination culture Audit Electronic Article Surveillance and related loss-prevention controls Prepare accurate and detailed case reports documenting apprehensions and recoveries Preserve evidence and coordinate with law enforcement Testify in criminal and civil court actions when required Report hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty Operate in a manner that minimizes risk of injury to self, associates, vendors, customers, and the Company Maintain integrity and responsiveness to asset protection and operational concerns Support store-specific business objectives while handling asset protection duties
