This position is responsible for performing building sprinkler inspections, including testing devices, recording and generating results, and providing reports. Duties include assisting the Lead Inspector and/or Inspection Manager in collecting data and generating necessary paperwork (Sprinkler Inspection Reports, Quick Reports, and Inspection Certificates). Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Ensure timely and accurate completion of all inspections. Test building sprinkler control panels, devices, and functions, and record results using Palm handheld devices. Download information and generate completed Sprinkler Inspection Reports after inspections. Participate in monthly team meetings. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Education/Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of fire sprinkler experience. Study and stay current with NFPA standards, code requirements, and industry changes; obtain NICET certifications. Proficiency with test equipment such as multi-meters, battery analyzers, sound level meters, and communication devices. Good networking PC skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Palm OS. Reliable transportation to and from work sites. Other Duties: Adhere to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Safety Policies. Perform additional duties as assigned. Physical Requirements: Work in industrial, commercial, and residential environments with moderate to high noise levels, including working at heights. Physical activity includes standing, walking stairs, climbing ladders, and lifting objects up to 50 pounds. Must be able to work on the phone and computer throughout the day.
