Overview The iconic Hotel del Coronado is looking for a
Valet Runner
to join the Guest Services team. Join one of the last surviving wooden Victorian beach resorts in the world and after a $400M renovation and expansion, the resort is more stunning than ever.
Located on Coronado Island just minutes from Downtown San Diego, this 28-acre property was built in 1888 and has over 750 rooms (to include cottages and villas), 65,000 square feet of banquet space, and 10 food and beverage outlets. This includes 4 restaurants, 2 bars, food truck, marketplace, ice cream shop, and in-room dining.
Shift:
Various – must be available to weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
Pay Rate:
$16.50 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
Union Position:
This position is part of the Local 30 Union which requires complete open availability. We are not able to accommodate schedule restrictions and full-time hours are not guaranteed. Hours and schedule are based on seniority and business needs and may be minimal at times until seniority is established. Must know how to drive stick shift (Manual transmission) vehicles.
Responsibilities
Greet arriving and departing guests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
Retrieve vehicle keys from and provide receipts to guests
Transport guest vehicles to and from designated parking areas and the hotel driveway
Assist guests with luggage
Retrieve guest items from vehicles, as requested
Respond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve guest issue in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
