Our client is currently seeking a Remote Network Engineer - III. Job Description: The successful candidate will join the Core Network Engineering and Implementation team with responsibilities for engineering the new eNSE platform located within data centers across the United States. As part of the National Network Build Team, you will assist with and perform implementation responsibilities, working closely with diverse Engineering teams to achieve strategic technology goals, including transitioning from VXLAN to the eNSE platform. This network leverages virtualization and software-defined networking to transform product and service delivery, maintaining industry leadership. The Engineer will be responsible for engineering IP networking build projects, collaborating with Capacity Planning, Design, and Operations teams. The role involves creating teamwork and cooperation among stakeholders, including territories, edge, and design teams. Main responsibilities include writing detailed Layer 1 equipment installation and fiber testing procedures (MOP), scheduling, tracking, troubleshooting testing failures, and working with local teams across the U.S. to deploy and troubleshoot routers and switches in MSCs. Develop network configurations from design templates, create MOPs for implementation during maintenance windows, and configure routers and switches. Hands-on experience with Cisco CRS, NCS, ASR 9K, ISR 3945, Nexus series, Juniper MX series, and related operating systems is preferred. Work remotely with local teams to deploy and troubleshoot equipment, work independently to meet deployment timelines, and adapt quickly to new tasks and processes. Mentoring new team members and utilizing automated workflows are also key aspects. Support strategic technology goals, including migration to the intelligent edge network, and work on deploying networks for SAP ENSE Fabric, Access ENSE fabric, ISP, NNI, and 5G connectivity. Engineer network configurations for private cloud onboarding, and manage network builds from procurement to deployment. Collaborate with peer teams to ensure network builds meet KPIs and company objectives, and work collaboratively to meet team goals. MUST HAVE SKILLS (Most Important): Bachelor’s degree or four+ years relevant experience Experience with IP Layer 1-3 for Edge Networks Hands-on experience with network virtualization and updates Knowledge of TCP/IP (IPv4 and IPv6), spine and leaf fabric networking, VXLAN, BGP Expertise in Layer 1 troubleshooting for copper and fiber cabling, including various fiber types and MOP creation Proficiency with CLI commands for Nokia 7750/7706/7250, Cisco series, and NX-OS Ability to manage multiple projects, stay organized, and update tickets and schedules Comfortable troubleshooting with local support teams and following detailed engineering documents DESIRED SKILLS: Positive attitude, strong work ethic Networking certifications like CCNA/JNCIS Experience working remotely, testing installed equipment Strong communication skills via email and phone Knowledge of MPLS, VPNs, cloud, scripting, Linux, OpenStack, Python, virtualization Education/Certifications:
