POSITION SUMMARY

This position is assigned to FFG PMO and reports to the Technical Director, FFG Non-Construction Projects, under the Senior Director of Production and Program Integration. The Class Design Services (CDS) Project Engineer provides technical support to cross-functional engineering teams, focusing on technical studies for Navy projects or Engineering Change Proposals (ECP). Responsibilities include assigning technical resources, contributing to project timelines, supporting outsourcing by preparing statements of work, identifying impacted configuration items, and analyzing effects on performance, interfaces, manning, training, software/hardware upgrades, logistics, and spares. The role involves coordinating with the FMM Engineering Department and subcontractors to develop comprehensive technical packages, requiring attention to detail and in-depth configuration knowledge. The individual must interpret complex information, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and ensure timely issue resolution. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assign technical resources, inform outsourcing plans, identify critical paths, and ensure all technical deliverables are integrated and meet quality standards. Manage and execute the change management schedule in coordination with the PMO Configuration and Change Management Team. Assist in preparing ECP packages, including completing DD-1692s and DD-1695s. Evaluate scoping information from engineering and supply chain vendors regarding proposed changes. Verify and validate engineering and logistics impacts, ensuring data accuracy and completeness. Assess technical drawing impacts, ensuring comprehensive coverage and correct insertion points aligned with the master schedule. Interpret project bid estimates to establish resource requirements. Support outsourcing efforts by drafting statements of work, evaluating vendor proposals, and monitoring subcontractor compliance. Collaborate with the supply chain to understand vendor positions and ensure contract modifications are aligned with project timelines. Participate in PMO staff meetings and coordinate actions across divisions. Adhere to organizational policies and procedures. COMPETENCIES: SPARC
