State of Oklahoma . Location: Idabel, OK. This position is in the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation. Essential functions include caseload management for adults and transition-aged youth in McCurtain County and East Choctaw County (Hugo & east). The role involves vocational rehabilitation counseling, assessment, and placement activities to support client outcomes. Responsibilities

Provide services to clients addressing personal, social, and vocational adjustment. Interpret and analyze clients’ physical or mental conditions, social and economic situations, attitudes, aptitudes, work experiences, educational background, and personality traits to determine disability and rehabilitation possibilities. Consult with physicians, psychologists, and other disability professionals; administer and interpret tests as indicated; determine eligibility for rehabilitation services; assist in formulating rehabilitation plans. Plan and arrange rehabilitation services; approve expenditures within approved limits. Consult with public and private employers to establish job opportunities; assist clients in securing employment consistent with capabilities; monitor progress. Provide program monitoring, maintain case records, and control expenditures. Advise employers on guidelines for accommodating people with disabilities per applicable laws and policies. Administer and/or develop work samples and situational assessments. Review medical, psychological, neuropsychological, legal, educational, and social information to determine need for additional diagnostic information. Prepare vocational evaluation plans and advise Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors on vocational decisions. Orient clients to evaluation processes; administer and interpret test results; observe behaviors relevant to work; recommend goals and services. Teach basic vocational skills and lead diverse groups; develop and administer job samples to assess learning, supervision, peer interaction, tolerances, and endurance. Assist individuals with disabilities in selecting, acquiring, or using assistive technology. Education and Experience

Level I: Bachelor’s degree in vocational rehabilitation, vocational evaluation, or counseling; or bachelor’s degree plus one year in a disability-related field. Level II: Master’s degree in relevant fields or a master’s degree with licensure/certification eligibility; plus related professional eligibility (CRC, LPC, CVE, PVE, LBP, LFMT, School Counselor Certification, or Special Education certification). Level III: Master’s degree as above plus two years of related professional experience. Level IV: Master’s degree as above plus four years of professional experience; includes leadership responsibilities. Note: incidental experience not reflective of major duties is not accepted. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Competencies

Level I: Knowledge of disabilities, human relations, community resources, case management, job information and placement; basic computer skills. Ability to communicate effectively, maintain confidentiality, and interact with clients with disabilities. Level II: Knowledge of vocational counseling/evaluation, disability-related laws (including ADA and Rehabilitation Act), assistive technology needs, testing, and placement; ability to analyze data; develop placement plans; build relationships. Level III: Similar to Level II with expanded responsibilities and ability to provide consultation; capability to oversee others. Level IV: Includes project management and training/guidance to others in addition to Level III capabilities. Special Requirements

Some positions may require proficiency in American Sign Language confirmed by competency testing. Applicants must be willing and able to travel as required for the job. Additional Details

Position may be filled at Level I, II, III, or IV. Location: Idabel (VR11). Essential functions include caseload management for adults and transition-age youth, evaluation, development of IPE, counseling, job readiness, job search, and placement activities; adherence to agency record-keeping guidelines. Background check will be conducted; offer contingent upon successful completion. Preference may be given to applicants with LPC, CRC, LBP, LFMT, School Counselor Certification, or Special Education certification and related counseling experience.
