Job Title: Designer
Job Description
As a Designer, you will be responsible for producing high-quality project design deliverables, including preliminary, schematic, and test-fit plans, as well as construction documents. You will utilize Autodesk Construction Cloud throughout the design and construction phases. The role primarily involves producing architectural drawings and details in REVIT, with occasional use of AutoCAD. Completing redlines and mark-ups from the architectural department’s hand-drawn or digital mark-ups in Adobe Acrobat or Bluebeam will be part of your duties. Under the guidance of Architects and Architectural Designers, you will provide preliminary and schematic floor plans and details. Responsibilities
Produce architectural drawings and details in REVIT and occasionally in AutoCAD. Utilize Autodesk Construction Cloud throughout the design and construction phases. Complete redlines and mark-ups from the Architectural Department’s hand-drawn or digital mark-ups. Provide preliminary and schematic floor plans and details under guidance from Architects. Assist the architectural team with documenting existing site and building conditions. Assist the Architectural team with progress construction visits and field observations, with occasional travel to Rochester or Buffalo sites. Support the architectural team with Quality Control/Quality Assurance punch lists and project close-outs. Essential Skills
Minimum of 2 years of experience in REVIT. Experience with AutoCAD is required. Minimum 2-year degree in drafting, architectural, and/or interior design. 2-4 years of professional experience preferred. Confidence in using REVIT is essential. Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with Autodesk Architecture or Construction Cloud is preferred. Solid internship experience may be considered. Experience with Bluebeam, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Procore, interior design, and construction documents. Demonstrated professional integrity, pride, and ownership in work. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and client service skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to collaborate closely with a diversified group of professionals. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Work Environment
This is an office-based role. You will have the opportunity to work on projects ranging from $100 million to $500 million. Our smaller firm boasts a large portfolio and a great team atmosphere, providing opportunities to work and grow your skill set into a promotion. The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $40.00/hr.
