Base pay range $150,000.00/yr - $220,000.00/yr

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $150,000 – $220,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

Job Description:

As a Construction Contracts Attorney in a transactional role, you will be responsible for negotiating, drafting, and reviewing a wide range of construction contracts and agreements. Your expertise and attention to detail will be crucial in ensuring that our projects are legally sound and aligned with our business objectives. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and executives, to provide legal guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Negotiate, draft, and review construction contracts, including design-build agreements, subcontractor agreements, and vendor contracts.

Advise on legal matters related to construction projects, such as risk management, compliance, and dispute resolution.

Conduct legal research and stay up-to-date on relevant laws and regulations impacting the construction industry.

Collaborate with internal teams to address legal issues and support project delivery within established timelines.

Provide training and guidance to team members on legal best practices and contract requirements.

Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and licensed to practice law in Texas.

5+ years of experience in construction law, with a focus on transactional work.

Strong negotiation, drafting, and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Knowledge of construction industry practices and regulations in Texas.

Proven track record of handling complex construction contracts and agreements.
