We are currently seeking a motivated and dedicated Associate Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about advocating for injured individuals and tenants, including those from low-income and underserved communities. This is an excellent opportunity for a mid-level attorney looking to grow their litigation skills in a supportive, collaborative environment. Responsibilities
Handle personal injury and habitability cases from intake through resolution. Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents. Manage the discovery process, including drafting and responding to written discovery, reviewing evidence, and preparing discovery-related motions. Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts. Communicate with clients to provide case updates, legal advice, and manage expectations throughout the litigation process. Appear at hearings, mediations, and case management conferences as needed. Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and legal arguments. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant law and legal precedents. Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Active member in good standing with the California State Bar. 2-3 years of litigation experience, preferably in personal injury, habitability, or related civil litigation. Experience managing cases through all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, and motion practice. Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills. Confidence in communicating with clients, opposing counsel, and the court. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Year-End Bonus: Eligible for a discretionary bonus based on company, team, and individual performance. Health Insurance: 100% of premiums paid by employer after completion of 90-day probationary period.
