We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Certified Medical Coder to join our Billing department. Job Summary As a Certified Medical Coder, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate coding of procedures and diagnoses for reimbursement and compliance. Your specialized knowledge in plastic surgery coding will help optimize revenue cycle processes and maintain regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities: This is a full-time role for a Certified Medical Coder located in Savannah, GA. Accurately assign CPT and ICD-10 codes for surgery and other procedures. Ensure documentation supports coding decisions in accordance with payer policies and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to clarify documentation and ensure complete and accurate coding. Perform coding audits and provide feedback for continuous improvement. Stay current with coding guidelines, payer rules, and specialty-specific updates. Qualifications Certification required: CPC, CCS (AHIMA or AAPC credentials). Minimum 2 years of coding experience in a medical office/ambulatory surgical center setting. Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and surgical procedures. Experience with EHR systems and coding software (e.g., EncoderPro, Nextech) Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills. Knowledge of payer-specific guidelines and denial resolution preferred. Seniority level
