Overview
Position: Counselor Location: Harrisonburg, VA The Community Corrections Alternative Program (CCAP) is an alternative program to incarceration, giving probationers and parolees the opportunity to engage in treatment, education, vocational training, and employment in a structured setting in order to promote long lasting public safety. Schedule: Monday – Friday, 10:00 am – 7:00 pm (3 days per week) and 12:00 pm – 9:00 pm (2 days per week) with a 1-hour unpaid meal break. Pay rate: $28.85/hr. ($60,000 annually). Conducting comprehensive assessments and individual treatment plans within established timeframes. Facilitating psycho-educational and process groups as defined by the curriculum. Providing individual counseling according to timeframes established per program and documenting each session according to policies and procedures. Maintaining clinical records in accordance with contractual and Spectrum standards. Serving as a role model/mentor for program participants while maintaining professional boundaries and addressing participant issues, concerns, and inappropriate behaviors promptly and in accordance with Spectrum’s clinical design. Qualifications
Bachelor\'s Degree in Human Services field is required. State certification as a Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) in the state of Virginia or similar certification/license recognized by the Virginia Board of Professional Counselors is required.
