Overview
A national
defense firm
is growing its
California Construction Defect
team and seeking an
Associate Attorney
to join the practice. Associates can work from any of the firm’s four offices— Irvine, Los Angeles, San Francisco, or Walnut Creek —on a
flexible hybrid schedule
with just two in-office days each week. This role offers hands-on experience with complex construction defect and general liability defense matters in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment. The firm also provides a formal mentorship program focused on training, trial exposure, and long-term career development.
Responsibilities
Defend construction defect and related litigation matters
Draft and argue motions, manage discovery, and develop case strategy
Take and defend depositions
Attend hearings, mediations, and arbitrations
Work closely with trial partners while maintaining direct client contact
Qualifications
JD from an accredited law school
Active California Bar admission
3+ years of construction defect or related litigation experience
Prior deposition and motion practice experience preferred
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $160,000–$185,000+ (DOE)
Billable requirement: 1,900 hours annually
Hybrid schedule
(2 in-office days per week) – may work out of any location
