The ideal candidate for this position will use their work experience and organizational skills to prepare and maintain legal documents, file motions, interview clients, and conduct legal research. Responsibilities
Docketing all deadlines and follow-up to make sure all deadlines are met
Gather information about legal issues from the client in interviews
Take care of administrative tasks such as answering phones and maintaining an organized filing system for all legal documents
Help lawyers prepare for trial by preparing and organizing exhibits, assisting with client meetings, filing motions, conducting research on legal articles, and organizing and coordinating witnesses
Prepare legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings such as complaints, interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits, under the supervision of a lawyer
Coordinate law office activity, including the drafting subpoenas and coordinating with process servers
Qualifications
Familiar with Georgia Civil Procedures Attention to Detail Case Related Billing Experience Must have strong interpersonal skills and talent for writing and grammar ABA-approved paralegal certificate program such as an Associate’s degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, Bachelor’s degree desired 3+ years of legal service experience under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting Candidates should possess high-level organizational skills, and time-management skills Completion of a nationally-accredited paralegal program strongly preferred Compensation $85,000 About Dreyer Firm At Dreyer & Associates Law Firm, we advocate for clients’ interests and achieve the best possible outcomes in their civil & business litigation, real-estate litigation, government affairs, personal injury, civil rights, and general counsel matters.
