Grande Custom Builders LLC is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Office Administrator with bookkeeping experience to support our construction team in Charlotte. This is a full-time, in-office role for someone who thrives on organization, values accuracy, and is eager to grow within a small, high-performing company.
Grande Custom Builders is a boutique residential builder based in downtown Charlotte. Since 2008, we have specialized in luxury custom homes and select spec projects. Our company culture is tight-knit, goal-focused, and quality-driven. Each member of our team plays a critical role, and we meet weekly to align on project updates, scheduling, and performance goals.
Job Summary
The Construction Office Administrator/Bookkeeper will play a central role in supporting project managers and company leadership by handling accounting tasks, document management, and administrative duties. This position requires strong attention to detail and good communication skills, especially when handling sensitive data like payroll and receivables. Responsibilities
Record and reconcile all credit card charges and bank accounts Ensure timely payment of company credit cards and loans Track and enter deposits and payments Process payroll for the labor company and manage weekly invoicing Apply for building permits as needed Enter Estimates into Quickbooks and set up job accounts Assist in closing books monthly and generating financial reports Maintain accurate financial records and support other administrative duties as needed Use cloud-based platforms such as Box Communicate clearly and professionally with the construction team and office-based staff Requirements
Experience with bookkeeping, payroll, and general accounting (QuickBooks preferred) Familiarity with construction operations is a plus but not required Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion Willingness to learn and grow in the role over time Excellent communication and time management skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and cloud storage systems In-person availability only. This is not a remote or hybrid position Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States Company Benefits
