MPA Delivery Partner team , selected by the Gateway Development Commission to deliver this transformative project. The HTP is a critical component of the Gateway Program—one of the most ambitious transportation initiatives in the nation—and is designed to strengthen mobility, enhance resiliency, and ensure long-term reliability of the Northeast Corridor. The project encompasses a new two-track rail tunnel beneath the Hudson River, plus rehabilitation of the existing North River Tunnel, serving more than 200,000 daily passengers and supporting regional connectivity. This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to contribute to a nationally significant infrastructure program that will reshape rail transportation and drive sustainable economic growth. You will work with a high-performing, multidisciplinary team to deliver excellence on a technically complex project. If you're seeking to make a meaningful, lasting impact, this is your moment. Role Accountabilities
Review and validate design documents prepared by the Engineer of Record and Design-Build contractors for constructability, feasibility, and compliance with HTP Design Standards and Specifications. Develop and maintain a fully integrated, as-designed BIM model; perform clash detection, resolve coordination issues, and update model content to reflect design changes. Advise on value engineering opportunities, sustainable materials, and architectural detailing that align with project performance and aesthetic goals. Coordinate design interfaces across disciplines—track design scope boundaries, facilitate interface workshops, and report on interface resolutions. Support preparation of technical memoranda, plan sheets, specifications, and design change documentation; ensure design updates are incorporated into contract drawings and as-built records. Collaborate with delivery partner teams to integrate design requirements into testing, commissioning, and activation plans. Assist with community and stakeholder design presentations, preparing renderings, diagrams, and talking points. Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering. Professional registration (RA or AIA member) or eligibility for state licensure. Minimum of 7 years’ experience on large-scale transportation or infrastructure projects, preferably rail or tunneling. Revit Professional Certification or equivalent BIM credentials. Proven track record with BIM tools (Revit, Navisworks) in a multi-discipline environment. Key Skills and Abilities
Expert ability to interpret and enforce complex design standards and technical provisions. Advanced proficiency in BIM modeling, clash detection, and model data extraction. Strong communication and presentation skills for cross-functional teams and public outreach. Critical thinking to anticipate constructability challenges and propose innovative solutions. Excellent document control discipline, ensuring version accuracy and alignment with PMIS protocols. Familiarity with federal design requirements (FTA, FRA), NEPA commitments, and Buy America provisions. Preferred Qualifications
