R-16413**Your Role**Gensler LA is seeking an experienced intermediate architectural **Designer**. You will collaborate with a team of architects and designers to develop ambitious design concepts as well as to advance the design and see it through all phases of project delivery. You will be successful because you already know how to translate conceptual ideas and sketches into 3D models and working drawings, and you can undertake technical challenges as they arise. You will join a studio with a focus on the education market and other mission-driven institutional clients. Your work ethic, combined with your commitment to collaboration and mentoring makes Gensler the perfect place to grow your career.**What You Will Do*** Work with the Design Director(s) and project team(s) on conceptual designs, presentations, design development, and production* Give direction to one or more junior team members in the development of the work.* Resolve challenging design issues with innovative and practical solutions* Visual communication including compelling drawings, leveraging AI for visualization, 3D models and renderings, collaborate with the team in BIM on the contract documents.* Assist in managing client expectations, team communication and consultant coordination* Contribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs**Your Qualifications*** Licensed architect preferred (or at least in-progress towards licensure).* 6 – 10 years of related project experience; preferably education/institutional projects* Outstanding conceptual 3-dimensional thinking and graphic presentation skills to effectively communicate design ideas* Flexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of development* Ability to communicate design ideas and direction succinctly* Collaborative and interdisciplinary design approach in a fast-paced work environment* Strong leadership, organization, communication and relationship management skills* Demonstrated experience in Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Suite, Stable Diffusion or other AI models**Applications will not be considered without uploaded portfolio/work samples****Life at Gensler**At Gensler, we are as committed to enjoying life as we are to delivering best-in-class design.
