The Utility Locating and Damage Prevention Trainer will direct and teach all in class and field training of the specified curriculum in order to prepare new locating technicians for field training and all needed certifications. The Trainer will work under the direct supervision of the Director of Training and collaborate with Operations to effectively meet the needs of the new locating technicians and the curriculum milestones. The trainer will work to improve the quality of continued development and will be responsible for maintaining an organized classroom environment and all developmental reporting. Responsibilities
Teach all new hires developed techniques Deliver GridHawk’s developed curriculum Plan daily teaching plans Maintain new hire development reports and records Submit daily reports to management Communicate with management on progress and field training expectations Interpret multiple learning styles and adapt to new techniques Demonstrate knowledge of technology and tools needed Demonstrate and teach proper use of equipment Ensure effective prints, routing practices, and equipment use in line with company needs Demonstrate excellent communication skills Requirements
Relocation is mandatory (live within 30 miles of Fredericksburg, VA) Exceptional quality standing All certifications needed to locate underground pipeline and additional facilities Multiple years locating and pipeline technician experience Multiple years (2-3 years preferred) of supervising locating and pipeline technicians High School Diploma or equivalency (GED) Benefits
