Overview
Senior System Administrator role at Torch Technologies, Inc. This position is focused on managing and securing enterprise IT infrastructure to support MDA ground test events. Responsibilities
Administer and maintain Linux-based systems (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) in both on-premises and cloud environments. Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Dell servers and Cisco networking equipment. Support containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) and ensure reliable deployment of mission applications. Manage cloud networking and hybrid infrastructure for performance, availability, and security. Provide direct technical support during MDA ground test events, ensuring uptime and rapid issue resolution. Implement and monitor cybersecurity controls, patching, and hardening of systems. Support ATO documentation, security assessments, and compliance with DoD cybersecurity requirements. Collaborate with system engineers, developers, and test teams to ensure mission readiness. Required Qualifications
US Citizenship. Bachelor’s degree preferred, or an Associate in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience. 8+ years of relevant experience in systems administration. Some travel and shift work may be required during test events. Active or eligible for DoD Security Clearance. Linux System Administration (Expert) – installation, patching, tuning, and troubleshooting. Server & Network Infrastructure (Intermediate–Expert) – Dell PowerEdge hardware, Cisco routers/switches, VLANs, firewalls. Cybersecurity & ATO (Intermediate–Expert) – DISA STIGs, RMF process, security documentation. Desired Tools / Technologies
