Taylor’s Construction is hiring experienced
Coax Splicers
to install, splice, test, and maintain coaxial cable for telecommunications systems. This role supports broadband and hybrid fiber-coax (HFC) networks, requiring technical expertise and field readiness. Coax Splicers will work closely with supervisors and project teams to deliver reliable connectivity to customers. What You'll Do
Splice, activate, and maintain coaxial cable systems for HFC and broadband networks. Use test equipment to balance, sweep, and troubleshoot RF signals. Read and interpret work prints, design maps, and splicing diagrams. Perform aerial and underground coaxial construction, including node splits and line extensions. Document work performed and maintain accurate test and splice records. Adhere to all safety practices, including working at heights and around energized equipment. Provide support during service outages, repairs, and system upgrades. What You'll Bring
2+ years of coaxial splicing or cable construction experience. Knowledge of signal levels, sweep balancing, and RF troubleshooting techniques. Proficiency with coaxial test equipment, such as signal meters and sweep gear. Ability to climb poles, operate bucket trucks, and perform aerial coaxial work safely. Familiarity with fiber-to-coax integration, preferred. Willingness to work outdoors, travel between job sites, and work flexible hours, preferred. What You'll Get
