This position reports to the LEU+ Construction Manager and will be located at the Columbia Fuel Fabrication Facility (CFFF) in Hopkins, SC 29061, working 100% onsite. The hourly pay range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $57 - $67 per hour. About the Company

Westinghouse is the largest nuclear fuel manufacturer in the USA producing fuel that provides 10% of the nation’s electricity. We are developing the LEU+ fuel fabrication facility in Hopkins, South Carolina, within our CFFF. This plant will use up to 8% enriched 235U and include Westinghouse technologies to convert UF6 to UO2 powder and to denitrate for uranium waste, supporting a longer fuel cycle and improved efficiency and safety. The LEU+ Quality Manager will report to the LEU+ Construction Manager and collaborate with the EPC Contractor, CFFF Maintenance, and EH&S to ensure construction activities comply with the project quality assurance program plan and with local procedures and engineering design documents. The role focuses on supplier oversight, quality verification activities, and certification documents for externally provided items, and will maintain quality oversight during construction, commissioning, and turnover to operations. Your Day-to-Day

You will provide leadership, strategy, and direction for QA disciplines for all activities supporting construction at CFFF. The role requires influencing others, including leadership, to adopt new approaches and solutions. This is an onsite role located at CFFF in Hopkins, SC. Responsibilities

Execute the LEU+ project quality assurance program plan and related procedures. Mentor quality engineering and oversight personnel in verification activities, supplier oversight, and resolution of supplier quality issues. Support cross-disciplinary teams in supplier oversight to verify Westinghouse suppliers implement a Quality Assurance Program commensurate with items/services. Ensure development and implementation of supplier surveillance and oversight plans for complex procurements to ensure quality and technical standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex supplier quality issues impacting quality. Verify items/services from suppliers conform to Westinghouse purchase order requirements. Coordinate and integrate activities across functional areas to achieve quality objectives within budget and schedule constraints. Participate in project assessments to ensure compliance with regulations, codes, and standards. Ensure supplier quality plans, procedures, and processes comply with defined quality and technical requirements. Review and approve procurement documents to translate technical/quality requirements from design documents and contracts. Lead the corrective action program, including follow-up on actions and evidence substantiation. Implement quality control techniques and statistical methods to identify failure causes and trends and measure supplier QA performance. Provide input to business development, supply chain, and other departments regarding supplier qualification and development. Prepare project QA plans/programs according to NRC, Westinghouse, and customer standards for nuclear and non-nuclear facilities. Appoint QA personnel as Supplier Quality interface to review bid specs, licensing, proposals, purchase orders, submittals, and other QA documentation; identify deviations and propose solutions. Direct quality personnel in investigations and reporting on compliance with technical specifications. Develop and implement Business Unit Quality policies and systems in line with customer requirements and applicable standards. Who You Are

A successful candidate will have: Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent. Minimum 10 years in quality management/control/assurance; at least 5 years in nuclear industry. Experience as a Quality Engineer overseeing construction project quality. Experience in engineering, procurement, and operations environment; nuclear industry preferred. At least 2 years of supplier oversight/assessment experience; NQA-1 Certified Auditor desired. Working knowledge of QA standards (e.g., 10 CFR 70.64, 10 CFR 20 App. B, 10 CFR 50 App. B, ISO 9001, ASME NQA-1); familiarity with NDE techniques (SNT-TC-1A). Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills; ability to influence across organizations. Ability to gain cooperation across boundaries and explain QA policies to internal and external stakeholders. Presentation skills to influence outcomes and cross-functional leadership experience. Desire to exceed customer expectations and support company goals. Experience serving on cross-functional leadership teams; experience in regulated manufacturing across multiple locations. Experience managing teams/projects within quality organizations at site level. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance for a US Nuclear facility.
