Overview
Cloud Data Operations Engineer (Technology Specialist I) - Digital and Technology Partners - Enterprise Data & Analytics - Remote at Mount Sinai Morningside. The role supports the Director of Data Cloud Engineering in planning, design, implementation and support deployments to ensure Data Cloud implementation aligns with the Digital Technology Partner (DTP) strategy and Enterprise architecture. The Cloud Engineering Lead provides technical support for Data Cloud deployment, primarily on Microsoft Azure, and mentors junior resources on Cloud adoption within the DTP team. Responsibilities
Clear understanding of the Azure cloud stack including Serverless, Managed and custom deployments. Experience in PowerShell, Shell script or other scripting language to implement IAC methodology where applicable to ensure consistent delivery. Act as a technology and business enablement advocate, advising best practices for utilizing cloud services to drive competitive advantage. Provide support to the DTP Enterprise Data cloud team to develop complex solution designs, detailed project plans and work breakdown structures. Assist in developing Architecture Specification deliverables that map business requirements to solutions/technologies. Help create a migration roadmap to move services from Enterprise Data Cloud subscription to the Enterprise tenant including all Azure resources and PaaS services (e.g., ADF, ADB, AKS, Azure Synapse Analytics). Support the creation and implementation of a solution roadmap and select appropriate infrastructure and technology platforms based on depth and breadth of knowledge. Independently complete solution implementation or application design deliverables. Ability to learn quickly and adapt to rapid changes in IT, particularly in cloud and mobility. Mentor others and assist with professional development. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and work experience; Master’s degree preferred. Eight years of IT experience with at least six years in systems analysis and application program development (or equivalent). General Skills and Competencies
Expert knowledge in: Cloud infrastructure, virtualization and systems (Windows, Linux, Storage, Networking). Azure Cloud solutions (Public, Private, Hybrid, Azure networking). Data services (Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake Storage). Cloud computing (Virtual Machines, SQL Server, Cosmos DB, AKS, etc.). Network and security (Load balancers, VNet, Subnets, Firewalls, VPN Gateways). Mobility and WAN; Identity management (ADFS, AAD). Understanding of data services and collaboration with Data Engineers to support infrastructure needs. Ability to build enterprise knowledge bases and strong technical documentation and reporting skills. Detail-oriented self-starter with initiative to plan, implement, identify issues, and meet deadlines; capable of working independently and in a team. Employer Description

The salary range for the role is $109,000 - $163,695 annually. Actual salaries depend on experience, education, and operational need. This range does not include bonuses, differential pay, or other compensation or benefits. Job Details
