We are seeking an SAP Technical Support Engineer to provide hands-on technical leadership to a multi-functional SAP ABAP/Fiori team across projects and daily operations. The role requires understanding business processes, designing robust SAP solutions, and delivering optimized user experiences to support ArcelorMittal Calvert’s operations.
The Basics
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science, or equivalent combination of education and experience
5+ years of SAP ABAP development experience
3+ years coordinating SAP ABAP development teams
2+ years as a functional analyst for SD or MM modules
Proficiency in ABAP and Fiori/UI5 development with strong architecture understanding
Knowledge of SAP development architecture and best practices including CAP, RAP, BTP, and clean core principles
Involvement in project implementations for SD, MM, FI, and PM modules
At least 3 full lifecycle SAP implementations
Project management skills (planning, tracking, issue resolution, risk mitigation, metrics)
Proficiency in MS Office

Knowledge of S4/HANA functional modules
Knowledge of HCM or APO programming
Knowledge of CPI and BTP
Experience in manufacturing processes in steel or similar environment
What You’ll Be Doing
Lead and coordinate the ABAP development team across SAP projects and production support
Ensure timely delivery of development tasks aligned with project schedules
Collaborate with project managers, functional teams, and stakeholders to define technical requirements and deliver robust SAP solutions
Provide day-to-day user support and drive productivity through new processes and systems
Conduct code reviews and maintain high standards for quality and performance
Guide ABAP development requests and manage team activities
Define testing and quality monitoring procedures for ABAP work
