Overview

Cyber Security Analyst role at Belcan. This position supports DoD-related cybersecurity activities including incident response, risk assessments, and compliance with RMF, NIST SP 800-53, and related DoD policies. Responsibilities

Monitor, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity events, incidents, and alerts across networks, systems, and applications. Conduct vulnerability assessments and system scans; track, report, and support remediation efforts. Assist with the development, implementation, and maintenance of Information System Security Plans (ISSPs) in accordance with DoD RMF and NIST SP 800-53. Apply DISA STIGs and security configuration guidelines to secure operating systems, applications, and network devices. Support accreditation and authorization (A&A) processes for DoD information systems. Collaborate with IT, engineering, and program management teams to implement cybersecurity best practices. Maintain situational awareness of current and emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and exploits affecting DoD systems. Prepare security documentation, risk assessments, and reports for leadership and government stakeholders. Participate in incident response, forensic analysis, and post-incident reviews. Ensure compliance with DoD policies, directives (e.g., DoDI 8500.01, 8510.01), and contractual security requirements. Monitor access to classified facilities (e.g., SCIFs) and enforce entry/exit control procedures in accordance with DoD and company security policies. Maintain visitor logs, conduct badge checks, and ensure only authorized personnel access secure areas. Perform regular inspections of secure rooms to confirm compliance with physical security standards (e.g., alarms, locks, TEMPEST shielding, camera coverage). Report and escalate any suspicious activity, security violations, or anomalies within classified areas. Coordinate with Facility Security Officers (FSOs) and other security staff to maintain operational integrity of classified environments. Required Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship and active DoD Secret clearance (TS/SCI required). Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience). CompTIA Security+ CE certification (meets DoD 8570 IAT Level II baseline); other DoD 8570 certifications (CISSP, CISM, CEH, etc.) preferred. 2-5 years of experience in cybersecurity operations, system security, or related field. Strong knowledge of DoD RMF, NIST SP 800-53, DISA STIGs, and incident response methodologies. Proficiency with SIEM tools, vulnerability scanners, endpoint security solutions, and network monitoring platforms. Experience working in a DoD contractor or government environment. Preferred Qualifications

Advanced certifications such as CISSP, CASP+, or CISM. Familiarity with cloud security in DoD-authorized environments (e.g., IL4/IL5). Strong technical writing and documentation skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Software/Tools Used
