Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented senior accountant to perform and coordinate accounting duties within our organization. The senior accountant's responsibilities include preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, assisting with audit preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned. An ideal candidate will have experience working with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment. To be successful as a senior accountant, you should have a solid working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and strong financial analysis skills. An outstanding senior accountant should also possess strong Excel skills, be detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to work with little to no supervision and perform under pressure. This position reports to the Assistant Controller.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor\'s degree in accounting/finance CPA, preferred 3+ years of accounting experience Previous experience in a staff accountant or financial analyst role preferred, with the potential and willingness to grow into a more senior role. Prior public accounting or internal auditing experience is a plus. Experience with NetSuite preferred. Experience with any large ERP and/or Lab Management systems a plus Prior experience with a multilocation P&L and balance sheet preferred. Knowledge of and ability to apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer skills. Advanced Excel experience with tools like vlookups and other functions, pivot tables, conditional formatting, etc. preferred. Able to extract and assemble data using various reporting software tools. Ability to maintain and process full cycle accounting duties. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail, organizational, and data entry skills. Competency Requirements/Job Duties

Accurately record journal entries and maintain audit ready supporting detail. Perform account reconciliations, including cash, prepaids, fixed assets, and other accruals. Perform Accounts Payable functions and assist with Accounts Receivable as needed. Support vendor and customer inquiries related to accounting transactions. Demonstrate and apply proficiency with accounting policies and procedures in daily work. Proven ability to code transactions accurately according to established procedures. Record asset acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation as needed. Ability to meet deadlines and produce financial statements and analysis as needed. Remit and file applicable sales taxes and property taxes correctly and on-time. Identify areas for process improvements and maintain strong internal controls. Support the annual financial audit and budgeting processes. Perform special and ad hoc projects as necessary. Safeguard and protect confidentiality of company and patient information as defined by the company’s Confidentiality Agreement.
