The Office of Contract and Grant Administration (OCGA) is part of the Office of Research Administration (ORA) and supports UCLA’s research program by providing leadership, professional guidance and administrative services to faculty, department administrators, and students. The Contract & Grant Analyst has primary responsibility for grants and cooperative agreements processed and managed by OCGA for an assigned set of campus departments and research units. The role operates under delegated authority from the Chancellor and assists administrative staff and faculty in assessing funding opportunities and submitting applications for grant funding to government entities (federal, state, county and municipal) and non-profit entities (foundations, educational institutions, research organizations). If awarded, the funds support research, training, or public service programs. The Analyst reviews proposals for compliance with sponsor and university terms and rules, negotiates and accepts resulting grant awards, and ensures responsible stewardship of grant funds. The role coordinates ongoing grant management activities during the award term to ensure reports are submitted, grant terms are honored, and close-out documents are processed. Candidates should master a wide range of complex operational and administrative matters and understand the organization and functions of academic departments, research units, other campus units involved in research administration, and the Office of the President. Familiarity with and adherence to University and campus academic policies and administrative standards is required. Responsibilities

Coordinate ongoing grant management activities with investigators, campus administrators, and sponsors during the award term. Remote work offered. Location and Compensation

Location: Los Angeles, CA area (UCLA). Salary range: $28.78 - $59.34 hourly. Qualifications

Strong understanding of grants administration, compliance with sponsor and university terms, and grant lifecycle management. Ability to work with investigators, campus administrators, and sponsors to ensure timely reporting and compliance.
