Database Specialist / Software Developer

to support the

Missile Defense Agency (MDA) . This position is based in Huntsville, AL. Job Responsibilities/Duties

Take the lead on complex SQL Server and Postgres design, performance tuning, and troubleshooting. Support the effort to migrate and integrate data between SQL Server and Postgres environments. Contribute to our .NET MVC web applications (C#, Kendo/Telerik, front-end integrations). Work alongside a small team of developers in a collaborative environment. Help shape best practices for data access, schema design, and performance across our applications. Other duties as assigned. Required Experience

7-10 years of professional experience in software/database development. Strong knowledge of SQL Server schema design and optimization. Solid experience with Postgres, including performance tuning and cross-platform data considerations. Working knowledge of C# / .NET MVC web development. Comfort working in a small team where you may wear multiple hats. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently on complex issues. Must be a U.S. citizen and have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance. Preferred Qualifications

Experience with JavaScript. Familiarity with DoD contract work and software environments. Background in both application and database architecture. Equal Opportunity
