Job Number: R0227158 The Role : Network Engineer As a network engineer on our team, you’ll use your experience in network design and architecture, system interoperability, routing and switching, IP engineering, network transport layers, multi-protocol label switching, gateway protocol, and virtual routing and forwarding as you join our team of problem-solvers to support the nation’s defense and respond to evolving adversaries. You’ll upgrade or develop enterprise-wide infrastructure, troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, analyze current working infrastructures, and increase security, reliability, and availability for mission-critical network systems. Your knowledge of network protocols, equipment, emerging technology, and configurations will help optimize client operations and modernization. Using your experience in cryptographic equipment, cryptography, key management, software and hardware firewalls, Cisco hardware, Palo Alto firewalls, cloud migration, and virtual routing and forwarding, you’ll serve as a trusted advisor to clients on mission-critical projects. You’ll make an impact on national security missions through your technical curiosity and knowledge of industry standards. 5+ years of experience in design, implementation, and operation of a geographically dispersed network, including LAN and WAN coaction and circuits 3+ years of experience managing and operating Cisco VoIP, and securing and hardening of network technologies Knowledge of DoD network deployments, STIGs, and IA compliance standards Ability to create and maintain technical documentation and diagrams Top Secret clearance HS diploma or GED Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Certification CompTIA Security+ or ISC2 Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) Certification Nice If You Have: Experience with network accreditation and security compliance processes Knowledge of cloud networking, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP Ability to assist in all aspects of network management, from design through implementation, maintenance, and upgrading of existing system Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering field ISC2 CISSP Certification Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required. Compensation:
Booz Allen offers a comprehensive benefits package. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). Salary is determined by location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, contract-specific affordability, and organizational requirements.
