Litigation Paralegal
who will support attorneys and other paralegal staff in all phases of litigation, including case management, court filings, document review and production, docket management, document organization, drafting and responding to discovery, deposition and trial preparation, and cite-checking for their Dallas office. Working under attorney supervision, you will have the opportunity to work on high stakes cases with a dynamic legal team. This role reports to the U.S. Paralegal Manager and Litigation Paralegal Supervisor. Responsibilities
Assisting attorneys in all phases of litigation from case initiation through trial. Assisting with calendaring case deadlines. Assisting with drafting court filings and preparations in Federal and State courts. Assisting with discovery, document collection, organization, review, and productions. Proofreading, cite checking and blue book court briefs, and discovery documents. Assisting with deposition, meeting, or interview preparations. Assisting with all aspects, including travel, of trial and arbitration preparations. Preparing various charts and indices. Coordinating with external vendors. Performing day-to-day case management tasks. Mentoring and providing guidance to junior paralegals and legal assistants as needed. Qualifications
Ability to support complex litigation cases from beginning to end. Excellent organizational skills and a strong attention to detail. Flexible and able to multi-task, balancing priorities and tight deadlines. Proactive and able to efficiently handle multiple projects and client matters simultaneously. Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Superior analytical and reasoning abilities. Prepares and timely submits timekeeping reports. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with members across multiple offices. Available to travel as needed. Ability to work overtime as necessary. Experience Bachelor’s Degree required. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience at an AmLaw 100 firm preferred. Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program. Proficiency in Texas state and U.S. federal court procedures. Understanding of common litigation practices, procedures, regulations and workflow. Proficiency in LexisNexis and Westlaw. Proficiency in iManage. Experience with eDiscovery Databases such as Relativity, Opus 2, and CaseMap. Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe. Experience with hotseat and trial presentation software such as Trial Director and/or OnCue is a plus. Location, schedule and benefits
— The firm offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical/dental/vision, parking, PTO, 401(k), and performance-based bonuses. Billable hours are 1600/year. This position is hybrid (3/2). Salary note
— Annual compensation range is $90,000-$120,000. The salary offered within this range will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations.
