Assistant Softball Coach - FT

Kutztown University, with a student enrollment of approximately 9,000 in both graduate and undergraduate programs, is located near Kutztown borough and within a 20-minute drive of Allentown/Bethlehem and Reading, and within 60 minutes of Philadelphia. The university values employees with extensive experience with diverse populations. The Department of Athletics invites applications for the position of Assistant Softball Coach. As an NCAA Division II member competing in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC), the assistant coach will handle various responsibilities including recruiting, discipline, management, budget administration, scheduling, scouting, summer camps, NCAA compliance, student affairs, academics, equipment management, and training. Responsibilities also include skill development, practice, game management, program promotion, public relations, media activities, and fundraising. The role additionally involves serving as the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) advisor. Qualifications include demonstrated skills in developing and motivating student-athletes for athletic and academic success, a bachelor's degree, and at least 3 years of coaching experience in softball. Preference is given to candidates with 5 years of playing or coaching experience, especially with female athletes and pitchers, and those with college-level playing experience and recruiting experience at Division II or higher. Familiarity with regional recruiting, camps, clinics, and fundraising events is also preferred. A master's degree is desirable. This posting is a repost; prior applicants are still considered.
