Responsibilities Essential Job Functions: Model Customer 1st behavior; deliver and encourage other associates to deliver excellent customer service Achieve personal targets that drive sales (e.g., credit applications and protection plan attachment rates) Promote Diamond Parties and special events with every customer Work with teammates towards store goals, creating a positive working atmosphere, and supporting each other to enhance team performance Foster emotional connections with customers through clienteling Provide product knowledge, features, and benefits to customers when presenting merchandise Advise customers on jewelry quality, cuts, value, and assist in selecting mountings and settings Attend required monthly meetings Operate POS and process payments or credit authorizations Inspect and clean customers' jewelry Provide estimates for jewelry and watch repairs Perform watch battery replacements and band adjustments Follow receiving and processing procedures Display merchandise and promotional materials per corporate plans Perform opening and closing procedures as outlined Maintain cleanliness and safety standards Participate in inventory counts and process Maintain flexibility to work any shift, including weekends, holidays, and overtime Qualifications Desired Previous Job Experience: Sales, retail, and/or jewelry experience Minimum Position Qualifications/Education: High school diploma or GED Commitment to excellence and providing a refreshing shopping experience Goal-oriented, sales-driven, and passionate to succeed Minimum 18 years old Ability to pass drug test Maintain confidentiality Attention to detail About Us Based in Portland, Oregon, Fred Meyer Jewelers merged with The Kroger Company in 1998.
