Outside Parts Sales Representative – Caldwell, Idaho Earn a base salary plus commission with unlimited earning potential.

Responsibilities

Solicit parts sales from new and existing customers in assigned territories. Maintain market penetration as required by the Sales Manager. Deliver parts and coordinate core and part returns from assigned customers as needed. Complete all necessary paperwork for parts orders, purchases, returns, and core returns. Assist Parts Manager or counter sales with documentation for special orders. Maintain Kenworth consignment inventories at customer locations assigned to Outside Sales representatives. Assist customers with issues related to parts sales, including returns and warranties. Maintain courteous, ongoing relationships with the customer base and maintain knowledge of customers industries and equipment needs. Promote the sale of Kenworth trucks and services. Facilitate communications between customers and other departments as needed. Maintain a high level of knowledge about the trucking industry and Kenworth Trucks. Attend trainings and seminars as required by the Sales Manager. Assist Parts Manager with year-end inventory and other miscellaneous tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Ability to read and comprehend English instructions and information. High school diploma or the equivalent. Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required. 3 years of sales experience in truck parts sales. A state-issued driver's license in good standing. Ability to use Windows-based computer systems, Microsoft Office Excel/Word, and read vendor catalogs. Excellent organization and communication skills.

Working Conditions

This position involves both sedentary tasks and active work. For part of the shift, the employee will work at a desk in an office setting performing paperwork, typing, filing, and data entry. Extensive telephone and correspondence work is required daily. For part of the shift, the employee will stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and move about the dealership to communicate with managers, employees, and customers. Lifting at least 50 lbs. daily may be required. Employee will travel by car extensively within and outside the State daily. The environment may include noise, dust, exhaust fumes, and other materials.
