Dam Safety Risk Professional
to join our dams, levees, and hydraulic structures practice, preferably in our
Pittsburgh, PA; Louisville, KY; Nashville, TN; Kennesaw (Atlanta), GA; or Indianapolis, IN
office. The ability to work remote or hybrid is at the discretion of the Company. This position is well-suited for a talented, highly experienced individual who is interested in leading and contributing to innovative projects involving dams, hydraulic structures, levees, and water resources infrastructure.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Support within the dams, levees, and hydraulic structures practice.
Assist with potential failure modes analysis (PFMA) and Level 2 risk assessment (L2RA) as part of FERC Part 12D assessments.
Support risk-informed decision making (RIDM) processes, including evaluating baseline risk and risk reduction measures.
Review risk analyses and mitigation strategies for major dam safety projects.
Conduct site visits and fieldwork related to dam safety risk evaluation and reduction.
Assist with project management and proposal preparation.
Develop technical reports and risk management cases.
Fieldwork: Up to 10%
Overnight travel: Up to 20%
Education and Licensure
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, economics, or a related field (required).
Advanced degree in civil engineering or related field (preferred).
Professional registration (P.E. or P.G.) (preferred).
Certification in risk assessment (preferred).
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications
At least 7 years (8+ preferred) of experience in dam safety and risk assessment.
Experience supporting PFMA, risk analysis, and RIDM workshops.
Knowledge of FERC, USACE, and other regulatory guidelines.
Knowledge of dam safety risk frameworks and processes.
Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and provide expert guidance.
Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers (preferred).
Valid U.S. driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
