Admissions Counselor - Traditional Ground Campus
Grand Canyon Education (GCE) is a rapidly growing educational service company that works closely with Grand Canyon University (GCU) to support thousands of students, families, and the local community. We put people first, drive innovation, and do good in the community that we live and work in.
We are looking for a motivated Admissions Counselor to recruit students primarily through phone and email contact in this campus-based opportunity. Starting salary is $40,000 per year with a tenure-based compensation plan that allows you to increase your earning potential upon the completion of each year-long recruitment cycle.

Responsibilities
Develop and implement a phone campaign strategy that builds awareness of academic programs and campus community, driving inquiry generation through phone, email, text, Zoom, and on rare occasions in person.
Connect with prospective students, parents, high school teachers, and community college faculty, rotating locally for fairs, school visits, and presentations.
Champion the GCE mission, promoting Grand Canyon University student success and institutional growth across the territory.
Use out-of-the-box critical thinking skills to support prospective campus students and families independently, guiding them through the admissions process.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree preferred; candidates with 60 college credit hours considered.
Outstanding time management and organization skills, with ability to prioritize competing priorities, even while traveling occasionally.
Clear communication and engaging presentation skills, confident in phone, Zoom, and in-person interactions, with well-developed listening skills.
Self-motivation, drive, and ownership of time spent with students, truly making a difference.
High emotional intelligence, coaching diverse students and families, demonstrating empathy.
A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, flexible schedule, willing to travel about 20% of the time (clean driving record, willingness to travel by car or plane, occasional overnight stays).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools.
