Lactalis USA, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a

Safety Coordinator

based in Buffalo, New York. This is an entry-level position. The Safety Coordinator will provide support to the facility Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager while helping facilitate environmental health and safety programs. The ideal candidate will be proactive and dynamic. Able to work independently or in a team environment. Key Responsibilities:

Conduct risk assessments to identify and eliminate or reduce the severity of hazards. Conduct periodic facility audits to ensure compliance with established EHS programs. Facilitate employee training. Assist with incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective measures determination. Record keeping of accidents and provide reports as needed. Provide reports to management. Work with EHS Manager to identify key risks in safety programs. Help prepare for outside audits. Collect safety statistics. Other site-specific duties as defined by the EHS Manager. Requirements:

Qualified applicants will contribute the following: Education and/or Experience: Associate's Degree in Occupational Safety or related field preferred. One to two years’ experience related to occupational safety preferred. Manufacturing related experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Basic experience with Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point. Alchemy a plus but not required. Salary Range: $64,000 - $70,000
