The Forensic Psychology Postdoctoral Fellowship at Eastern Louisiana Mental Health System is offered through the Forensic Neuropsychiatry division of the Tulane Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. Conduct forensic evaluations including competency to stand trial (CST), malingering, psychodiagnostic clarification, intellectual and cognitive assessments, and violence risk evaluations. Select, administer, score, and interpret psychological tests to produce high-quality forensic reports. Perform evaluations for justice-involved individuals, including those adjudicated NGRI or deemed incompetent to stand trial. Conduct private evaluations in the greater New Orleans area and remotely, covering criminal and civil referrals such as competency, violence risk, mitigation, trauma, and PTSD assessments. Participate in administrative meetings, forensic research, and supervise trainees when possible. Attend forensic training seminars, landmark case seminars, and expert witness seminars. Lead the ACGME-required Forensic Journal Club/Research Seminar. Participate in the annual mock trial with Tulane Law Clinic and the Tulane Forensic Psychiatry Fellowship. Observe expert testimony and receive supervision on report writing and court testimony skills. Qualifications and Requirements
